i couldn't wait to get this movie on Blu-Ray. i already had it on DVD, but the Blu-Ray is even better. I only wish I had BD-Live on my BluRay, to take advantage of those extra features. Recommend this movie to anyone who likes action movies or great special effects.

Anyone who has ever loved the cartoon Transformers should at least appreciate the attempt that was made to give shout outs to the older fans of a really cool cartoon show. Like the fact that Optimus Prime was voiced by the same actor as the cartoon.
I really liked the special features found on this edition of the movie. They kept me entertained for hours and I learned a lot about the making of it. I found them to be full of intersting information and entertaining at the same time.
Michael Bay is a hack. They made the whole movie silly and cliche. They gave no personality to the robots at all. The design of the robots was awful. It was hard if not impossible to make out what was going on in the fight scenes. Megatron doesn't even transform into a gun! The product placement was blatant and repeated constantly. It played like a GM commercial. Tried too hard to be funny. Didn't take the franchise seriously. It put the transformers into a typical cliched plot. Normal schmuck c......
I have seen this movie on on the normal format and bought the Blu Ray version since it's supposed to have a better format, in terms of sounds and picture quality. Sadly, I was to be disappointed when the DVD did not play. I get an error message called Cannot Play (80029940)
Does anyone here know how I can get this error sorted out so I can watch this movie? I put some other Blu Ray's onto the player and they worked, just fine.

I used to watch the Transformers cartoon series when I was little and when this movie came out I felt that same excitement that I felt back then. The special effects and character models are believeable. You really feel like there are huge robots stomping around on screen. This is a must have.
